Medellin, Columbia - Soccer
Soccer coaches and volunteers are needed to lead soccer camps and outreach activities in Medellín, Colombia. The primary focus of this ministry is serving displaced indigenous families from the Embera people group who have relocated to the city because of violence and armed conflict. During the week, the team will conduct daytime soccer camps for 20-40 children and youth, using sports to build relationships and share the love of Christ. In the evenings and over the weekend, the team will organize and lead a soccer camp and tournament for men, creating opportunities for evangelism, discipleship, and community engagement. In addition to sports ministry, volunteers can assist with children's Bible lessons, crafts, games, and music during our children's programs. Team members may also help lead evangelistic outreach, share personal testimonies, participate in prayer ministry, and encourage local believers.Ground Cost Includes

What to Expect
Volunteers will stay in a comfortable hotel in Medellín and travel short distances each day to ministry locations. The team will experience the rich culture and hospitality of Colombia while serving alongside Casa Embera and local church partners. Throughout the week, volunteers will engage with displaced indigenous Embera families through soccer camps, games, conversations, and community activities. There will be many opportunities to build relationships, share personal testimonies, pray with individuals, and share the Gospel as the Lord opens doors.While Spanish is not required, it is highly beneficial and will greatly enhance a volunteer's ability to build relationships and communicate with participants. Local staff will provide interpretation and cultural guidance throughout the week, ensuring that every volunteer can serve effectively. Volunteers should come prepared to serve with flexibility, humility, and a willingness to build meaningful relationships.
In addition to ministry, there will be opportunities to enjoy Colombian culture, experience local cuisine, and, if time permits, visit some of Medellín's most well-known sites.
